A bill for an act
relating to natural resources; appropriating money to Department of Natural
Resources for grants to Minnesota Aquatic Invasive Species Research Center at
the University of Minnesota.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATIONS; MINNESOTA AQUATIC INVASIVE SPECIES
RESEARCH CENTER.

new text begin $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2020 and $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2021 are appropriated from
the general fund to the commissioner of natural resources for grants to the Minnesota Aquatic
Invasive Species Research Center at the University of Minnesota to prioritize, support, and
develop research-based solutions that can reduce the impacts of aquatic invasive species in
Minnesota by preventing spread, controlling populations, and managing ecosystems, and
to advance knowledge to inspire action by others.
