  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to energy; allowing owner-occupied 
  1.3             residential housing to be served by an existing energy 
  1.4             loan program. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [OWNER-OCCUPIED RESIDENTIAL HOUSING; ENERGY 
  1.7   LOAN PROGRAM.] 
  1.8      The appropriation made by Laws 1993, chapter 369, section 
  1.9   11, subdivision 6, of oil overcharge money for a rental energy 
  1.10  revolving loan program may also be used to serve owner-occupied 
  1.11  residential housing and the program contract may be amended to 
  1.12  so provide.  The restrictions of the eligibility for loans under 
  1.13  this program to the metropolitan area is eliminated.  Loans may 
  1.14  be provided in any area of the state.  
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.16     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
