  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; requiring vendor payments 
  1.3             to landlords for recipients of welfare. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [WAIVER TO ALLOW VENDOR PAYMENT.] 
  1.6      Subdivision 1.  The commissioner of human services shall 
  1.7   seek the necessary federal waiver to allow vendor payments for 
  1.8   rent for all recipients of public assistance. 
  1.9      Subd. 2.  When the necessary federal waivers have been 
  1.10  obtained, the commissioner of human services shall implement 
  1.11  vendor payment for rent for all recipients of public assistance.
