relating to rural economies; appropriating money for a pilot workforce program.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; PILOT WORKFORCE PROGRAM.

$15,000,000 for fiscal years 2008 and 2009 is appropriated from the general fund
to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to Northern
Minnesota RuralPlex Initiative in Grand Rapids. This grant shall be used to implement
and operate a pilot workforce program that provides one-stop supportive services to assist
individuals as they transition into the workforce.
