  1.2             relating to education; increasing the revenue for 
  1.3             early childhood family education programs; amending 
  1.4             Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 124.2711, subdivision 
  1.5             1. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 124.2711, 
  1.8   subdivision 1, is amended to read: 
  1.9      Subdivision 1.  [REVENUE.] The revenue for early childhood 
  1.10  family education programs for a school district equals 
  1.11  $101.25 $130 for 1993 1998 and later fiscal years times the 
  1.12  greater of: 
  1.13     (1) 150; or 
  1.14     (2) the number of people under five years of age residing 
  1.15  in the school district on October 1 of the previous school year.
