A bill for an act
 relating to local government; appropriating money for data practices training and
technical assistance for local units of government through the Information Policy
Analysis Division of the Department of Administration.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $100,000 in fiscal year 2016 and $100,000 in fiscal year 2017 are appropriated
from the general fund to the commissioner of the Department of Administration for the
Information Policy Analysis Division to provide training and technical assistance to local
units of government on compliance with Minnesota Statutes, chapter 13, the Minnesota
Data Practices Act. This is a onetime appropriation and is available until expended.
