A bill for an act
 relating to human services; modifying definition in relating to child care licensing;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 245A.02, subdivision 2b.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 245A.02, subdivision 2b, is amended to read:


Subd. 2b.

Annual or annually.

new text begin (a) With the exception of paragraph (b), new text end "annual" or
"annually" means prior to or within the same month of the subsequent calendar year.

new text begin (b) For the purposes of section 245A.50, subdivisions 1 to 9, "annual" or "annually"
means during a licensing term that begins with the effective date of the license and ends
the day before the date the annual license expires.
