  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; increasing revenue for certain 
  1.3             secondary schools; amending Minnesota Statutes 2002, 
  1.4             section 126C.10, by adding a subdivision. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 126C.10, is 
  1.7   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 1a.  [ADDITIONAL REVENUE.] Notwithstanding any law to 
  1.9   the contrary, a secondary school that has pupils enrolled in at 
  1.10  least grades 10 through 12 and enrolls pupils from a 300 square 
  1.11  mile area or qualifies for secondary sparsity revenue under 
  1.12  subdivision 7 shall count 50 pupils in average daily membership 
  1.13  per grade level when calculating revenue under this section. 
  1.14     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective for revenue for 
  1.15  fiscal year 2004 and later.
