  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to highways; prohibiting commissioner of 
  1.3             transportation from requiring counties to lease or 
  1.4             purchase mechanical shakers for testing aggregate 
  1.5             material. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [COMMISSIONER OF TRANSPORTATION; RESTRICTION.] 
  1.8      In any rule, specification, or other requirement relating 
  1.9   to county state-aid highways, the commissioner of transportation 
  1.10  may not require a county to lease or purchase a mechanical 
  1.11  shaker for testing aggregate material. 
  1.12     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective the day 
  1.13  following final enactment.
