A bill for an act
relating to pupil transportation; requiring a decal on school buses for comments
on driving; amending Minnesota Statutes 2016, sections 169.4503, by adding a
subdivision; 169.454, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 169.4503, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin A decal providing a contact telephone number to submit
comments regarding the school bus driver's driving must be affixed to the rear of the school
bus.

new text begin EFFECTIVE DATE. new text end

new text begin This section is effective August 15, 2017, and applies to all school
buses, regardless of the date of manufacture.

Sec. 2.

Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 169.454, is amended by adding a subdivision to
read:

comments regarding the type III vehicle driver's driving must be affixed to the rear of a type
III vehicle that is owned by a pupil transport entity.
