BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

appropriated from the general fund to the Department of Education for the fiscal years

new text begin For a grant to the Minnesota Public Television
Association for professional development initiatives to provide prekindergarten through
grade 12 teachers with the necessary skills to effectively incorporate public television
video resources into classroom curriculum and instruction and to integrate regional arts,
culture, and history videos across the curriculum in order to increase student achievement:

new text begin Public television stations eligible to receive grants under Minnesota Statutes, section
129D.12, subdivision 2, shall select teachers throughout the state to participate in training
sessions and to develop model lessons for identifying and integrating videos on regional
arts, culture, and history into prekindergarten through grade 12 curriculum and lesson plans.
