  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to highways; designating the Don Rickers 
  1.3             Memorial Highway; amending Minnesota Statutes 1996, 
  1.4             section 161.14, by adding a subdivision. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 161.14, is 
  1.7   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 40.  [DON RICKERS MEMORIAL HIGHWAY.] That segment of 
  1.9   marked trunk highway No. 60 from the city of Worthington to the 
  1.10  city of Brewster is designated "Don Rickers Memorial Highway."  
  1.11  The commissioner of transportation shall adopt a suitable design 
  1.12  for marking this highway and shall erect appropriate signs at 
  1.13  locations determined by the commissioner.  The people of the 
  1.14  community, having resolved to support and financially back the 
  1.15  marking of this highway, shall reimburse the department for 
  1.16  costs incurred in marking and memorializing this highway.
