  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [VIOLENCE PREVENTION; APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $....... is appropriated for violence prevention from the 
  1.7   general fund to the commissioner of education to expand adult 
  1.8   basic education programs established under Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.9   section 124.26.  The sum is available until June 30, 1997.
