BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin Any county whose special law is repealed in section 2, must elect a county auditor,
recorder, treasurer, or auditor-treasurer if that office was made appointed under the special
law repealed in section 2. The election must be held so that an elected officer takes office
in January 2013.
