  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to highways; exempting counties from permit 
  1.3             requirements when reconstructing or maintaining 
  1.4             highway right-of-way; proposing coding for new law in 
  1.5             Minnesota Statutes, chapter 373. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [373.29] [EXEMPTION FROM PERMIT REQUIREMENTS.] 
  1.8      Notwithstanding any statute or rule that requires a county 
  1.9   to obtain a permit to reconstruct or maintain a highway, a 
  1.10  county that reconstructs or maintains a county or county 
  1.11  state-aid highway within a 66-foot right-of-way of an existing 
  1.12  county or county state-aid highway is exempt from all permits.
