A bill for an act
relating to taxation; solid waste management; amending allocation of revenues
from solid waste management tax; amending Minnesota Statutes 2018, section
297H.13, subdivision 2.


Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 297H.13, subdivision 2, is amended to read:

Subd. 2.

Allocation of revenues.

(a) deleted text begin$33,760,000, or 70 percent, whichever is greater,deleted text end
Of the amounts remitted under this chapternew text begin, 75 percent in fiscal years 2020 and 2021, 80
percent in fiscal years 2022 and 2023, and 100 percent thereafter

environmental fund established in section 16A.531, subdivision 1.

(b) The remainder new text beginin fiscal years 2020 to 2023 new text endmust be deposited into the general fund.

new text begin (c) Beginning in fiscal year 2020 and continuing each year thereafter, the difference
between the amount deposited in the environmental fund under paragraph (a) and the amount
that would have been deposited under paragraph (a) before being amended by this act must
be expended on activities listed in section 115A.557, subdivision 2, paragraph (a), clauses
(1) to (7) and (9) to (11).
