relating to economic development; appropriating money to assist African American
men in securing employment.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin UJAMAA PLACE; APPROPRIATION.

$1,000,000 in fiscal year 2020 and $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2021 are appropriated from
the general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant
to Ujamaa Place to assist African American men with job training; employment preparation;
internships; education; training in vocational trades, such as construction and automotive;
housing; and organizational capacity building.
