relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a Public Safety and
Emergency Operations Center for Chisago County.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

OPERATIONS CENTER.

new text begin Appropriation. new text end

new text begin $3,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to Chisago County to
predesign, design, construct, furnish, and equip a municipal public safety complex that
includes a law enforcement and emergency operations center and related facilities and
infrastructure for interconnection to the county emergency communications center.

new text begin The appropriation in this section is not
available until the commissioner of management and budget has determined that at least an
equal amount has been committed to the project from nonstate sources. Amounts expended
by Chisago County for project costs since July 1, 2015, shall count toward the matching
requirement. The appropriation in this section is available until the project is completed or
abandoned subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642
