  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing conveyance of 
  1.3             certain tax-forfeited land in Dakota county free of 
  1.4             the trust in favor of the taxing district.  
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [CONVEYANCE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND; DAKOTA 
  1.7   COUNTY.] 
  1.8      (a) If special school district No. 6 conveys the land 
  1.9   described in paragraph (c) to the state according to Minnesota 
  1.10  Statutes, section 282.01, subdivision 1d, then, notwithstanding 
  1.11  any other provision of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, the 
  1.12  commissioner of revenue shall reconvey the land described in 
  1.13  paragraph (c) to special school district No. 6 for no 
  1.14  consideration.  
  1.15     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.16  attorney general.  Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, chapter 
  1.17  282, or other law to the contrary, special school district No. 6 
  1.18  may use or sell the land for other than a public use.  
  1.19  Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, or other law to 
  1.20  the contrary, the state shall not retain a reversionary interest 
  1.21  and shall convey the land free of the trust in favor of the 
  1.22  taxing district. 
  1.23     (c) The land to be conveyed is in the city of South St. 
  1.24  Paul, Dakota county, and is described as:  
  1.25     (1) Lots 4, 5, 6, and 7, Block 1, Lookout Park Addition; 
  2.1      (2) Lots 25 and 26, Block 1, Lookout Park Addition; 
  2.2      (3) Lots 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20, Block 
  2.3   2, Lookout Park Addition; and 
  2.4      (4) Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Block 1, Bryants First Addition 
  2.5   to the city of South St. Paul, together with that part of the 
  2.6   vacated alley and vacated Stanley Place accruing thereto. 
  2.7      Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  2.8      Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
