A bill for an act
relating to taxation; modifying disposition of solid waste management tax
revenue; amending Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 297H.13, subdivision 2.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 297H.13, subdivision 2, is amended to
read:

Subd. 2.

Allocation of revenues.

(a) $33,760,000, or 70 percent, whichever is
greater, of the amounts remitted under this chapter must be credited to the environmental
fund established in section 16A.531, subdivision 1 new text begin ; and $14,000,000 of this credit, or 30
percent, whichever is greater, must be appropriated to Select Committee on Recycling
and the Environment grants to counties new text end .

(b) The remainder must be deposited into the general fund.
