  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state government; appropriating money for 
  1.3             the expenses of persons called to active state 
  1.4             military duty. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $500,000 is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal 
  1.8   year 2003 to the department of military affairs for purposes of 
  1.9   military forces called to state active duty by the governor.  
  1.10  This appropriation does not cancel and is available until spent. 
  1.11     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.12     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
