relating to education; making information and resources for parents of young
children more accessible; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; ONLINE INFORMATION AND RESOURCES
FOR PARENTS OF YOUNG CHILDREN.

new text begin $200,000 in fiscal year 2016 is appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of education for facilitating partnerships with community organizations
under Minnesota Statutes, section 124D.129, to provide online information and seminars
on such topics as child development and parent education to the parents of young children
in coordination with the Office of Early Learning at the Department of Education. Any
funds not expended in fiscal year 2016 do not cancel but carry forward to fiscal year 2017.
