A bill for an act
relating to health; appropriating money for the Cooper/Sams volunteer ambulance
program and the Cooper/Sams volunteer ambulance trust account.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATIONS; COOPER/SAMS VOLUNTEER AMBULANCE
PROGRAM AND COOPER/SAMS VOLUNTEER AMBULANCE TRUST ACCOUNT.

new text begin (a) $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2018 and $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2019 are appropriated
from the general fund to the Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board for the
Cooper/Sams volunteer ambulance program under Minnesota Statutes, section 144E.40. Of
these amounts:

new text begin (1) $911,000 in fiscal year 2018 and $911,000 in fiscal year 2019 are for the ambulance
service personnel longevity award and incentive program under Minnesota Statutes, section
144E.40; and

new text begin (2) $89,000 in fiscal year 2018 and $89,000 in fiscal year 2019 are for the operation of
the ambulance service personnel longevity award and incentive program under Minnesota
Statutes, section 144E.40.

new text begin (b) $3,000,000 in fiscal year 2018 is appropriated from the general fund to the
Cooper/Sams volunteer ambulance trust account under Minnesota Statutes, section 144E.42.
This is a onetime appropriation.
