  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to capital improvements; authorizing bonds 
  1.3             and appropriating money for purchase of Water's Edge 
  1.4             building. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $9,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to 
  1.8   the commissioner of transportation to purchase the Water's Edge 
  1.9   building, 1500 West County Road B2, Roseville, for use as a 
  1.10  department of transportation metro division headquarters. 
  1.11     Sec. 2.  [BOND SALE.] 
  1.12     To provide the money appropriated in section 1 from the 
  1.13  state bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance on request 
  1.14  of the governor, shall sell and issue bonds of the state in an 
  1.15  amount up to $9,000,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with 
  1.16  the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 
  1.17  16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 
  1.18  4 to 7. 
  1.19     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.20     This act is effective the day following final enactment.
