  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to prostitution; appropriating money for 
  1.3             support services and staff coordination of support 
  1.4             services for women leaving systems of prostitution. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS; APPROPRIATIONS.] 
  1.7      Subdivision 1.  [SUPPORT SERVICES GRANTS.] $...... is 
  1.8   appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of 
  1.9   corrections for the purposes of making grants, with the 
  1.10  assistance of the general crime victims advisory council, to 
  1.11  organizations providing support services to women leaving 
  1.12  systems of prostitution.  This appropriation is available until 
  1.13  June 30, 1999. 
  1.14     Subd. 2.  [COORDINATOR.] $...... is appropriated from the 
  1.15  general fund to the commissioner of corrections to fund a staff 
  1.16  position to coordinate programs and services provided to women 
  1.17  leaving systems of prostitution by the department of 
  1.18  corrections, the Minnesota housing finance agency, and the 
  1.19  department of children, family and learning.  This appropriation 
  1.20  is available until June 30, 1999.
