A bill for an act
 relating to transportation; appropriating money for flood mitigation and road
widening on County State-Aid Highway 13 in Murray County.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $4,200,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of transportation for one or more grants to Murray County for preliminary design, design,
right-of-way acquisition, and construction of a flood mitigation and road-widening project
to include shared-use paths on County State-Aid Highway 13 between Trunk Highway 59
and the end of County State-Aid Highway 13 on Keely Island near Lake Shetek. This project
includes constructing shared-use paths, raising dikes, and relocating water main and sanitary
sewer infrastructure as necessary. This is a onetime appropriation.
