  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to education; extending the maximum number of 
  1.3             years that a district may levy for funds to remove 
  1.4             architectural barriers; amending Minnesota Statutes 
  1.5             1994, section 124.84, subdivision 3. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 124.84, 
  1.8   subdivision 3, is amended to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 3.  [LEVY AUTHORITY.] The district may levy up to 
  1.10  $300,000 under this section, as approved by the commissioner.  
  1.11  The approved amount may be levied over five eight or fewer years.
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.13     Section 1 is effective July 1, 1995.
