A bill for an act
 relating to libraries; authorizing a county law library to be located outside of the
courthouse; amending Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 134A.07.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 134A.07, is amended to read:


134A.07 QUARTERS.

The county board shall provide suitable quarters new text begin for the law library. The library must
be located either within the county courthouse or within a public library facility according
to the provisions of paragraph (b). If the law library is located new text end within the courthouse deleted text begin for

and other necessary expenses of maintaining the library.

a county law library may be located at a public library facility that is a member of a
regional public library system.
