  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; providing for cooperation and 
  1.3             combination revenue for independent school district 
  1.4             No. 2174, Pine River-Backus. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [COOPERATION AND COMBINATION REVENUE; PINE 
  1.7   RIVER-BACKUS.] 
  1.8      Subdivision 1.  [ELIGIBILITY.] In fiscal year 1996, 
  1.9   independent school district No. 2174, Pine River-Backus, is 
  1.10  eligible for the cooperation and combination revenue it would 
  1.11  have received in fiscal year 1992 under Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.12  section 124.2725, subdivision 2, if it had applied for that 
  1.13  revenue.  In fiscal year 1997, the district is eligible for the 
  1.14  cooperation and combination revenue it would have received in 
  1.15  fiscal year 1993 under Minnesota Statutes, section 124.2725, 
  1.16  subdivision 2, if it had applied for that revenue. 
  1.17     Subd. 2.  [EQUALIZATION PERCENT.] For purposes of 
  1.18  calculating the cooperation and combination levy for independent 
  1.19  school district No. 2174, Pine River-Backus, the percentage in 
  1.20  Minnesota Statutes, section 124.2725, subdivision 3, clause (2), 
  1.21  is 100 for fiscal year 1996 and 50 for fiscal year 1997. 
  1.22     Subd. 3.  [LEVY RECOGNITION.] Notwithstanding Minnesota 
  1.23  Statutes, section 121.904, the entire amount of this levy shall 
  1.24  be recognized as revenue for the fiscal year in which it is 
  1.25  levied.
