  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to natural resources; appropriating money for 
  1.3             a Civilian Conservation Corps worker statue. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $....... is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal 
  1.7   year 2002 to the commissioner of natural resources for purchase 
  1.8   and installation of a Civilian Conservation Corps worker statue.
  1.9   This appropriation is available until June 30, 2003.  In 
  1.10  planning for purchase, siting, and installation of the statue, 
  1.11  the commissioner shall consult with the North Star chapter of 
  1.12  the National Association of Civilian Conservation Corps Alumni 
  1.13  and with the Capitol Area Architectural and Planning Board.  The 
  1.14  statue may be located in the capitol area, as determined by the 
  1.15  Capitol Area Architectural and Planning Board, or on other 
  1.16  publicly-owned land.
