  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to housing; appropriating money for 
  1.3             concentrated multiunit rental housing. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [CONCENTRATED MULTIUNIT PROPERTY.] 
  1.6      $5,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.7   housing finance agency for transfer to the housing development 
  1.8   fund for the community rehabilitation program to acquire, 
  1.9   demolish, remove, rehabilitate, and reconfigure multiple unit 
  1.10  residential rental property to reduce concentrations of multiple 
  1.11  unit rental housing.  Priority must be given to projects that 
  1.12  result in the creation of housing opportunities that will 
  1.13  increase the tax base and the income mix within a community.  
  1.14  The appropriation is available until June 30, 1998.
