A bill for an act
relating to alcohol; allowing wine tasting and wine sales at annual festivals;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 340A.418, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 340A.418, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin The commissioner shall issue a license, at a price
established to offset costs, for an annual festival to be conducted by an organization
certified by the commissioner as representing Minnesota's grape growers. The license
shall allow wine tasting, sales of wine by the glass, and sales of wine by the bottle to
patrons exiting the festival. The festival allowed by this license shall take place on no
more than five consecutive days. A license issued under this subdivision shall be subject
to all other Minnesota laws pertaining to alcohol.
