A bill for an act
 relating to natural resources; providing Minnesota Zoo certain wild animal
exemptions; amending Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 85A.02, subdivision 10.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 85A.02, subdivision 10, is amended to read:


Subd. 10.

Wild animal exemption.

subdivision 8, relating to purchase, barter, sale, possession, breeding, or transporting wild
animalsnew text begin , but must comply with paragraph (b)new text end .

new text begin (b) The board must request a permit from the Board of Animal Health for any
exemption from the provisions of chapter 35 or rules adopted thereunder and from the
Department of Natural Resources for any exemption from the provisions of chapter 97A
or rules adopted thereunder. The Board of Animal Health and the Department of Natural
Resources must issue a permit requested according to this paragraph.
