A bill for an act
relating to transportation; requiring the commissioner of transportation to sell a
certain parcel of land located north of Elgin.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin EXCESS LAND SALE; DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.

new text begin The commissioner of transportation shall promptly commence actions to sell for
economic development purposes the portion of land owned by the state and under the
jurisdiction of the Department of Transportation that is located north of Elgin and:

new text begin (1) west of the right-of-way, including any ditch, outside bank, or slope, of Trunk
Highway 42;
new text end

new text begin (2) east of Great River Ridge Trail, as designated under Minnesota Statutes, section
85.015, subdivision 26; and

new text begin (3) south of Wabasha County State-Aid Highway 25.
