  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to highways; designating the POW/MIA Memorial 
  1.3             Highway; amending Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 
  1.4             161.14, by adding a subdivision. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 161.14, is 
  1.7   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 31.  [POW/MIA MEMORIAL HIGHWAY.] Trunk highway marked 
  1.9   No. 169 from its intersection with trunk highway marked No. 10 
  1.10  in or near the city of Elk River to its intersection with state 
  1.11  highway marked No. 18 in or near the city of Garrison and state 
  1.12  highway marked No. 18 from its intersection with trunk highway 
  1.13  marked No. 169 in or near Garrison to its intersection with 
  1.14  trunk highway marked No. 371 in or near the city of Brainerd is 
  1.15  designated the "POW/MIA Memorial Highway."  The commissioner of 
  1.16  transportation shall adopt a suitable marking design to mark 
  1.17  this highway and shall erect the appropriate signs. 
  1.18     The Minnesota former prisoners of war association shall pay 
  1.19  all costs associated with those signs.
