  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to health; modifying provisions relating to 
  1.3             nursing home administrators; amending Minnesota 
  1.4             Statutes 1994, section 144A.04, by adding a 
  1.5             subdivision. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 144A.04, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 5a.  [SHARED ADMINISTRATORS.] Notwithstanding 
  1.10  subdivision 5, two nonprofit nursing homes may share the 
  1.11  services of a licensed administrator if the two homes have a 
  1.12  total of 60 beds or less and are located within 20 miles of each 
  1.13  other in St. Louis county.  The administrator must divide the 
  1.14  full-time work week between the two facilities in proportion to 
  1.15  the number of beds in each facility.
