A bill for an act
relating to natural resources; appropriating money for the Voyageur all-terrain
vehicle trail system.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; VOYAGEUR ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE TRAIL
SYSTEM.

new text begin $150,000 in fiscal year 2018 is appropriated from the all-terrain vehicle account in the
natural resources fund to the commissioner of natural resources for a grant to the city of
Orr to predesign, design, and construct the Voyageur all-terrain vehicle trail system,
including:

new text begin (1) design of the alignment for phase I of the Voyageur all-terrain vehicle trail system
and development of a preliminary phase II alignment;

new text begin (2) completion of wetland delineation and wetland permitting;
new text end

new text begin (3) completion of the engineering design and cost estimates for a snowmobile and
off-highway vehicle bridge over the Vermilion River to establish a trail connection; and

new text begin (4) completion of the master plan for the Voyageur all-terrain vehicle trail system.
