  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to corrections; appropriating money for 
  1.3             community corrections subsidy grants; appropriating 
  1.4             money for grants for sex offender treatment 
  1.5             corrections; appropriating money for grants for 
  1.6             community corrections productive day initiative 
  1.7             programs. 
  1.8   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.9      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATIONS; COMMUNITY CORRECTION ACT 
  1.10  GRANTS.] 
  1.11     $....... is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.12  commissioner of corrections for Community Correction Act subsidy 
  1.13  grants under Minnesota Statutes, section 401.10.  This 
  1.14  appropriation must be included in the budget base for the 
  1.15  2002-03 biennium.  
  1.16     Sec. 2.  [APPROPRIATIONS; GRANTS TO INCREASE SUPERVISION 
  1.17  AND TREATMENT OF SEX OFFENDERS.] 
  1.18     $....... is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.19  commissioner of corrections for grants to increase supervision 
  1.20  and treatment of sex offenders who are on probation, intensive 
  1.21  community supervision, supervised release, or intensive 
  1.22  supervised release.  The grants shall be used to provide 
  1.23  treatment and reduce the number of offenders supervised by 
  1.24  officers with specialized caseloads to an average of 35 
  1.25  offenders.  The commissioner shall distribute the grants 
  1.26  according to the formula contained in Minnesota Statutes, 
  2.1   section 401.10.  This is an ongoing appropriation. 
  2.2      Sec. 3.  [APPROPRIATIONS; GRANTS TO THE STATEWIDE 
  2.3   PRODUCTIVE DAY INITIATIVE PROGRAM.] 
  2.4      $....... is appropriated to the statewide productive day 
  2.5   initiative program defined in Minnesota Statutes, section 
  2.6   241.275.  Of this amount: 
  2.7      $....... to the Hennepin county community corrections 
  2.8   agency; 
  2.9      $....... to the Ramsey county community corrections agency; 
  2.10     $....... to the Arrowhead regional community corrections 
  2.11  agency; 
  2.12     $....... to the Dodge-Fillmore-Olmsted community 
  2.13  corrections agency; 
  2.14     $....... to the Anoka county community corrections agency; 
  2.15     $....... to the Dakota county community corrections agency; 
  2.16  and 
  2.17     $....... to the tri-county (Polk-Norman-Red Lake) community 
  2.18  corrections agency. 
  2.19     These appropriations are available until June 30, 2003.
