  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to Winona county; authorizing Winona county 
  1.3             to negotiate and enter into a contract for deed with 
  1.4             Winona county developmental achievement center. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [CONTRACT FOR DEED AUTHORIZATION.] 
  1.7      Winona county may negotiate and enter into a contract for 
  1.8   deed with the Winona county developmental achievement center for 
  1.9   the purchase of real property, owned by Winona county and 
  1.10  currently leased by the center for its operations, without 
  1.11  complying with the bid requirements of Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.12  section 373.01, subdivision 1. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.14     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.  
  1.15  Under Minnesota Statutes, section 645.023, subdivision 1, clause 
  1.16  (a), this section takes effect without local approval.
