  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to libraries; appropriating money for 
  1.3             electronic library. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [ELECTRONIC LIBRARY FOR MINNESOTA.] 
  1.6      The following sums are appropriated from the general fund 
  1.7   to the commissioner of children, families, and learning in the 
  1.8   fiscal years designated for statewide licenses to on-line 
  1.9   databases selected in cooperation with the higher education 
  1.10  services office for school media centers, public libraries, 
  1.11  state government agency libraries, and public or private college 
  1.12  or university libraries: 
  1.13        $400,000     .....     2004 
  1.14        $400,000     .....     2005 
  1.15     Any balance in the first year does not cancel but is 
  1.16  available in the second year.
