  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to taxation; repealing tax relief area 
  1.3             revenue distribution; repealing Minnesota Statutes 
  1.4             1996, sections 276A.01; 276A.02; 276A.03; 276A.04; 
  1.5             276A.05; 276A.06; 276A.07; 276A.08; and 276A.09. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [REPEALER.] 
  1.8      Minnesota Statutes 1996, sections 276A.01; 276A.02; 
  1.9   276A.03; 276A.04; 276A.05; 276A.06; 276A.07; 276A.08; and 
  1.10  276A.09, are repealed. 
  1.11     Sec. 2.  [INSTRUCTION TO REVISOR.] 
  1.12     In the next edition of Minnesota Statutes, the revisor of 
  1.13  statutes shall delete references to chapter 276A or sections of 
  1.14  chapter 276A wherever they appear in sections 273.1398, 
  1.15  subdivision 1; 275.065, subdivision 3; 428A.05; 465.82, 
  1.16  subdivision 2; 469.175, subdivision 5; 469.177, subdivision 3; 
  1.17  and 477A.011, subdivisions 20, 27, 32, and 35.  In deleting the 
  1.18  references the revisor may make other incidental deletions and 
  1.19  grammatical changes necessary to correct the syntax. 
  1.20     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.21     Sections 1 and 2 are effective the day following final 
  1.22  enactment.
