  1.2             relating to education; appropriating money for a grant 
  1.3             to independent school district No. 508, St. Peter, for 
  1.4             declining pupil aid. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [DECLINING PUPIL AID; ST. PETER.] 
  1.7      $460,844 is appropriated in fiscal year 2002 from the 
  1.8   general fund to the commissioner of children, families, and 
  1.9   learning for a grant to independent school district No. 508, St. 
  1.10  Peter, to ameliorate general fund operating losses associated 
  1.11  with the March 1998 tornado.  This grant is in lieu of funds 
  1.12  authorized under Laws 1999, chapter 244, article 4, section 22.
