BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $593,000 is
appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of human
services for purposes of the senior companion program under
Minnesota Statutes, section 256.977, for the biennium beginning
July 1, 2005.

new text begin Volunteer programs for retired senior
citizens. new text end

new text begin $572,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of human services for purposes of the volunteer
programs for retired senior citizens under Minnesota Statutes,
section 256.9753, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2005.
