  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; qualifying independent school 
  1.3             district No. 2835, Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton, for 
  1.4             debt service equalization aid. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [DEBT SERVICE EQUALIZATION AID.] 
  1.7      Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 124.95, 
  1.8   subdivision 2, for the purpose of determining eligibility for 
  1.9   debt service equalization aid for independent school district 
  1.10  No. 2835, Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton, the department of 
  1.11  children, families, and learning must include pupils presently 
  1.12  attending nonpublic schools to determine the average number of 
  1.13  pupils served per grade in the proposed facility. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.15     Section 1 is effective for bonds authorized by voters under 
  1.16  Minnesota Statutes, chapter 475, during calendar year 1996, 
  1.17  1997, or 1998 only.
