  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to economic development; appropriating money 
  1.3             to the commissioner of trade and economic development 
  1.4             for a grant to develop a direct reduction iron 
  1.5             processing facility in Minnesota. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; DIRECT REDUCTION IRON 
  1.8   PROCESSING FACILITY GRANT.] 
  1.9      $4,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.10  commissioner of trade and economic development for a grant to 
  1.11  develop a direct reduction iron processing facility in 
  1.12  Minnesota.  This appropriation is available until July 1, 1999.
