  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to highways; designating Augie Mueller 
  1.3             Memorial Highway; amending Minnesota Statutes 1996, 
  1.4             section 161.14, by adding a subdivision. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 161.14, is 
  1.7   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 40.  [AUGIE MUELLER MEMORIAL HIGHWAY.] Marked trunk 
  1.9   highway No. 5 from its intersection with marked trunk highway 
  1.10  No. 101 in or near Chanhassen southwesterly to its intersection 
  1.11  with marked trunk highway No. 19 in or near Gaylord is 
  1.12  designated "Augie Mueller Memorial Highway" subject to section 
  1.13  161.139.  The commissioner of transportation shall adopt a 
  1.14  suitable marking design to mark this highway and erect 
  1.15  appropriate signs.  The people of the community, having resolved 
  1.16  to support and financially back the marking of this highway, 
  1.17  shall reimburse the department for costs incurred in marking and 
  1.18  memorializing this highway.
