relating to transportation; appropriating money for I-94/U.S. Highway 10
Mississippi River crossing project development.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; I-94/U.S. HIGHWAY 10 MISSISSIPPI RIVER
CROSSING.

new text begin $....... in fiscal year 2020 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of
transportation for analysis and project development of a Mississippi River crossing to
connect marked Interstate Highway 94 in Dayton, in the vicinity of the impending interchange
with Hennepin County State-Aid Highway 101, known as Brockton Lane, to marked U.S.
Highway 10 in Ramsey, in the vicinity of the interchange with Armstrong Boulevard.
Eligible uses of funds include a feasibility study, alternatives analysis, predesign, design,
engineering, environmental analysis, and right-of-way and easement acquisition. From this
appropriation, the commissioner may provide grants to a local unit of government. This is
a onetime appropriation and is available until June 30, 2023.
