  1.1                             A resolution
  1.2             memorializing the United States Senate to take prompt 
  1.3             action in the case of the impeachment of President 
  1.4             Clinton. 
  1.5      
  1.6      WHEREAS, the American people and the people of the state of 
  1.7   Minnesota desire a quick conclusion to all matters relating to 
  1.8   the impeachment of President Clinton; and 
  1.9      WHEREAS, the preoccupation of the United States Congress 
  1.10  with matters relating to the impeachment of President Clinton 
  1.11  has prevented Congress from dealing with other important 
  1.12  matters; and 
  1.13     WHEREAS, other crucial issues, such as the Social Security 
  1.14  system and campaign finance reform, require the attention of 
  1.15  Congress; NOW, THEREFORE, 
  1.16     BE IT RESOLVED by the Legislature of the State of Minnesota 
  1.17  that the United States Senate should take prompt, fair, and 
  1.18  bipartisan action to resolve all matters relating to the 
  1.19  impeachment of President Clinton. 
  1.20     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of State of the 
  1.21  State of Minnesota is directed to prepare copies of this 
  1.22  memorial and transmit them to the President of the United States 
  1.23  Senate and to Minnesota's Senators.
