A bill for an act
 relating to transportation; highways; appropriating money for marked I-35W and
marked I-494 interchange improvements.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin INTERCHANGE IMPROVEMENTS AT MARKED I-35W AND
MARKED I-494; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $65,000,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2016 from the trunk highway fund to the
commissioner of transportation for design, engineering, and reconstruction, including
ancillary trunk highway system improvements, of a northbound to westbound ramp in a
turbine interchange at marked Interstate Highway 35W and marked Interstate Highway
494, as part of a phased redesign of the interchange. Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes,
section 16A.28, this appropriation is available for three years after the year of appropriation.
