relating to employment; requiring notice and posting of personnel record
provisions; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 181.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin [181.9631] NOTICE OF EMPLOYEE RIGHTS.

new text begin An employer as defined under section 181.960, subdivision 3, shall provide written
notice to a job applicant upon hire of the rights and remedies provided in sections 181.960
to 181.965. An employer shall also post in an appropriate and conspicuous location on
the employer's premises notice of these rights and remedies. Any negligent failure to
post the notice required under this section shall not effect any employer defense under
sections 181.960 to 181.966.
